Peak Venture Group is an Idaho-based commercial contracting company focused on non-owner occupied projects. While our business is construction, our true passion is building relationships as we help build the Intermountain West.

Born and raised in the Wood River Valley, David was brought up in the world of construction. His professional journey began with building a two-story clubhouse as a pre-teen, which was featured in a Patagonia Catalog. This marked the beginning of David’s professional journey. David’s construction expertise has come from working in diverse locations throughout several states in the Mountain West and Alaska.
As a member of a professional association of builders, David has forged many important mentorships and learning opportunities that improve business. Some of David’s proudest professional accomplishments include increasing productivity amidst the 2008 recession by diligently seeking municipal, federal, and military contracts. Concurrently, David embarked on an ambitious educational journey, successfully obtaining esteemed credentials such as the Construction Management Association of America Certified Construction Manager Degree. Notably, David also assumed the role of a city commissioner and regional building president, all in a relentless pursuit to elevate his work and support his community. These dedicated efforts culminated in David’s recognition within numerous publications, solidifying his status as one of the nation’s premier builders.
When not at work, David can be found scaling mountains or skiing down them. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys spending time on the slopes with his wife, Rachel, and their two sons, Thijs and Cody.

Ian Sundby is an experienced operations manager with a deep passion for construction management. He has a comprehensive understanding of all phases of construction, from concept to final product, and thrives in any environment he gets to put boots on the ground. He has directed many successful builds and enjoys that construction is an industry that recognizes and rewards not only hard work, but also smart work.
With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Ian provides a wealth of knowledge, an ability to recognize minute details and is known for providing thorough and accurate project assessments. He has seen and managed it all and knows exactly what it takes to get the job done right.
Outside of work Ian is a husband, father, and dog lover. He enjoys taking advantage of all the outdoor activities Sun Valley has to offer including hiking, camping and skiing with his wife, Sarah, daughter Isla, and fur family members Julius and Feisty.

Toni is growth-minded and keeps the Peak team organized and ready to spring into action. As our financial expert, she is always examining our projects, processes and customer experience and finding ways to make us better. She is detail oriented and knows that every design, process, and function should be thoughtfully and carefully considered for our clients from beginning to end.
Her ability to connect with others and foster not only enduring business partnerships but also genuine connections stands out as one of her most noteworthy professional accomplishments. Projects come and go, but the relationships she helps our team form with our clients and community are our greatest asset.
In her personal time, Toni enjoys spending time outside and exploring the beautiful mountains surrounding Sun Valley. She is an avid animal lover and pet parent to her dog, Rhys, and cat, Miah.

Cody’s strong organizational skills are evident as he efficiently manages schedules, project progress tracking, subcontractor coordination, and cost administration for multiple projects simultaneously.
Cody is energized by creating structures that people depend on and betters our community. His favorite part of taking on a new project is the preconstruction phase where initial discussions, evaluations and client communication takes place and the vision comes to life.
Outside or work Cody is an active person who enjoys playing golf, bow hunting and spending time with his wife and son.

Successful projects are all about attention to detail, and that is where Chris delivers. His favorite part of a new project is the pre-construction discovery phase because he gets to dig into the details and deeply understand the motivations and desires behind the plans.
Chris is a project manager whose strategic mindset, technical proficiency, and leadership acumen have consistently delivered transformative results across a diverse range of industries and projects. His ability to bridge the gap between technical expertise and strategic vision sets him apart as an exceptional leader in the field of project management.
If he’s not doing discovery or managing a new project, you might find him poring over technical assemblies and commissioning plans. With his background in mechanical, electrical and plumbing there’s nothing better than when the form and function of a system work so well together it’s like they are invisible.
When Chris isn’t at work he enjoys fly fishing, hunting, skiing, and spending time with his family.

Dexter Brown is a seasoned construction professional with a remarkable track record of over 30 years in the industry. As a dynamic and results-driven construction project manager, Dexter has consistently showcased his exceptional skills in orchestrating complex building projects to success. His attention to detail, cost control, and schedule management has earned him a reputation for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Dexter’s career has been marked by his ability to take charge and coordinate diverse teams. He is particularly proud to have led the project management team for Opus NW’s interior buildout of two buildings in the Union Station Project for Amazon in Seattle. His proficiency in resource management and his proactivity in addressing project modifications and coordination challenges have been instrumental in overcoming obstacles and ensuring seamless project progression.
When he’s not at work, Dexter enjoys fly fishing and spending time outdoors.
